"The Point" has over 250 artists on site and is one of the largest artist communities in the country. Twice a year, during "Open Studios" artists open their studios and show their work. The event is free and open to the public.

Point History ...

In 1867 Hunters Point was the first permanent dry-dock on the Pacific coast. In 1939 the Navy purchased the site for a shipyard. In 1980 some of the buildings were renovated into artists studios.
